Bethesda Games recently released Starfield, a highly anticipated space game that has been in development for many years. After making a significant impact in the gaming world, the title is finally getting DLSS support following some criticism.
DLSS Support Coming to Starfield!
Set approximately 300 years into the future, Starfield aims to take players on an exploration-filled galactic adventure. This space-themed action role-playing game offers long-lasting gameplay with over 1,000 explorable planets.
Before the release of Starfield, Bethesda Games made a notable deal with AMD. As part of this agreement, FSR 2.0 technology was added to the game, promising higher graphics performance at higher resolutions. However, the absence of an agreement with Nvidia for DLSS technology raised questions.
Bethesda Games faced negative criticism for launching Starfield without DLSS technology support. Today, the company made an important announcement to address this issue through an official blog post on their website.
According to the announcement by Bethesda Games, DLSS technology support will be added to the Starfield game for the PC platform. For those unfamiliar, DLSS is an image generation technology by Nvidia for RTX graphics cards. Utilizing deep learning to upscale the original low-resolution image to a higher resolution, DLSS delivers graphics quality that satisfies gamers.
In addition to DLSS technology support, there are other new features coming to Starfield. Brightness and contrast controls will be added to the game, along with an HDR Calibration Menu and support for ultra-wide displays with a 32:9 aspect ratio. Furthermore, a “eat” button for in-game meals will be introduced soon.
Bethesda Games mentioned that they carefully reviewed player feedback and, just like in Skyrim and Fallout 4, Starfield will also receive built-in mod support.
